  1. A lot of recipes here have peppermint. I’m allergic to it, what oils would you suggest to replace it with?

  2. My cat has been having stomach troubles recently, Do you think I can use oils with her?

    • I’m not sure it is such a great idea. I would take her to the vet, she might be ill or something.

    • It is a good idea to take her to the vet first and make 100 sure what is her condition. Don’t try the oils untill you know for sure what is wrong.

  3. Where do you suggest I can find pure oils? Most of the stuff I come across in the shops has some synthetic contents.

  4. Do you think I can use oils for morning sickness? It’s my first trimester. I did use oils before preganancy, but I’m not sure it is safe.

    • Hello. You should be very cautious if you want to use oils during pregnanacy. Consult your doctor first, they will tell you if it is fine considering your condition.

  5. Thank you so much for the article. I’ve been suffering sickness when being in car or a bus all the time, now I use a cloth with oils and just inhale when I feel i start getting sick! Thanks

  6. I’m sure that essential oils are good for nausea when we speak about adults, but I’m a bit worried about using them for chidlren. I mean, they are rather strong, even dilluted, won’t they prvoke even more stomach irritatioan? Plus the strong smell…

    • Hello, Jasabel!
The point is, you have to be really caraful when using those with children. Some of the oils are not recommended for them because they are too strong, and they can actually irritate the stomach even more. For small children I would suggest a very mild blend of lavander and almond oil. The smell will be soothing and comforting and it will calm down the upset stomach!

    • I know what you mean, I had the same doubts. I did try it with my children, you see , my younger son always feels sick in a car, so I decied to use an oil blend, cause he won’t take any pills. I used a very mild blend of lavander and the smell actually helped him.

  7. I think it depends on what causes nausea in the first place. If we speak about car skiness, it might be either the smell of gas in the car or the bumpy road. In the first case the oils do help beacuse they have strong smell, but in the other case, ..I’m not sure they are really useful

    • Yeah, I agree. I have the same problem with my kid. It is not the smell that provokes nausea, it is the bumpy road. I am not sure if the oils are of any help here…It is impossible to go on a car trip longer than 10 mins with him…since we live in a suburb it is really inconvinent.
